Rosehip Oil

What is it?

Rosehip oil is an extracted plant seed oil from Rosa canina, a wild rose also called dog rose. Rosehip seeds have been used extensively in traditional medicine because of the plant’s therapeutic effects.

How does it help skin?

Rosehip oil has been shown to provide a calming and antioxidant benefit in skin. Rosehips are rich in Vitamins B, C and E and polyphenols, which help contribute to its high antioxidant activity. It helps protect against sun damage by scavenging free radicals and reactive oxygen species. These are known to cause damage to skin and early signs of aging. Fine lines and wrinkles are visibly reduced.
