Why "Less" Means a More Potent Serum

Why "Less" Means a More Potent Serum

It can sometimes be confusing to figure out what products and steps you need in your routine to keep your skin healthy and glowing.

A serum can be a great way to boost your routine and give your skin some extra love without adding a lot of extra effort.

What is a serum?

Serums are concentrated formulas designed to address specific skin needs, and they are applied after cleansing and toning but before moisturizing. We like to think of serums as vitamins for your skin.

Serums are chock-full of ingredients and are typically made of smaller molecules that can penetrate the skin, which allows them to deliver powerful ingredients to address targeted skin needs like dryness, dullness, or wrinkles.

But they don't replace your moisturizers, which can create a barrier on top of the skin to hold all those potent nutrients in.

Our approach to serums

Nuria's serum philosophy is for “less-is-more” formulas with only the essential ingredients. That's why you need only 1-2 drops to get the full benefit of our serums, which might be more gel-like than other serums you have tried.

Making serums feel “smooth” requires additional ingredients that don't enhance the efficacy of the products and can sometimes interfere with your skin's ability to absorb those powerful active ingredients.

When you want a hard-hitting treatment like a serum, you don’t want extra chemicals getting in the way of delivering the actives to your skin.

Our solution? Concentrated formulas so you can have brighter, glowing skin.
